How do the 12-Volt Ice Models Work?
The 12-Volt MightyKool Series operate easily on 110-Volts with the small Optional AC/DC Convertor shown on the left.

Energy Crisis Ideas!

If the lights go out you can still avoid the stifling heat by cooling with a 12-volt Evaporative Cooler in areas that are relatively dry. See Energy Crisis below about using a 12-Volt Deep Cycle Battery to operate an Evaporative Cooler.


If your climate is typically dry Evaporative Coolers cool you in your Office, Bedroom, Attic, Garage or open-air patio, anywhere you need the relief. No reason to suffer from heat any longer, just plug into the wall, add a little water and cool away. These versatile coolers units use less energy than a 150-watt light bulb while using the 110-volt converter or less than 40 watts using just a battery. If your air is typically humid we do not recommend Evaporative Cooling, as then you need air conditioning. If you use 110-volts exclusively and do not use 12-volt power, then you can purchase a window or portable air conditioner locally. If, however you need 110-volt plus 12-volt air conditioning check out the MightyKool Models M200, M300 or MK3.

ENERGY CRISIS: If they cut off your power during a heat wave: Operate your MightyKool 12-Volt Model using a 12-volt Deep Cycle Battery. When the power comes back on merely charge the battery with a battery charger. (Anybody using a Solar System already understands this concept).

You may use one of the MightyKool 12-volt Cooling Systems with no extra parts except the battery and it will give you 30 to 80 hours of cooling on only one Deep Cycle Battery depending on the model you choose! Now that is real power and savings! A Back Up System like any of these could make a big difference in your comfort and well being in the event of a power outage during a heat wave.

What are the Dimensions, Amperage Draw and Water Capacity?


If using water only in the evaporative or dual cooling models; one gallon (3.75 liters) will last around two to three hours in the daytime and around five or six hours during night time. Use any clean domestic or lake Water.

The "ice models" are capable of using up to 20 pounds (9.0 kilograms) of ice per hour during the day and around 13 pounds (5.9 kilograms) if ice during night time hours.

A good deep-cycle battery (105 amp hour or larger) lasts from 8 to 17 hours on low and medium without charging when using the Swampy or Icester models.

The MightyKool Model MW1 will last from 50 to 80 hours and the MightyKool Models M200, M300, MG3 & MK3 will last from 25 to 35 hours on a fully charged 105 amp hour Deep Cycle Battery.

 Evaporative Cooler Models use Water only & the Air Conditioning Model AC 12 uses Ice only
The M200/M300, MG3 & MK3 Provide; Dual Air Conditioning using Ice or Water
All Dual Systems automatically get rid of the excess condensation collected
