How about some Auto Air Conditioner Ideas to help you make a decision as to your best course of action if you are having issues with repairing your Air Conditioner in your Vehicle or considering other Air Conditioner Alternatives?

A Battery Driven Portable System cannot be compared with an Engine Driven Auto Air Conditioner. Therefore we always recommend you repair your existing A/C or install an after-market Auto Air Conditioner.

However if neither of these are possible, then possibly a MW1 MightyKool Model (left) or Swampy T154 (right) would help your situation in the dry climates of the World. If your area is typically Humid then one of the Ice Water Models would be needed.

Now that I have used the unit for a few days I wanted to get back in touch with you. Yes, I am pleased with the MW1 MightyKool. It is not air Conditioning, but is a big step up from the heat of stop and go traffic and the noise of driving down the freeway with the windows down all the way. It sits on the passenger seat next to me on the box it shipped in. I think it makes the cabin feel like it's in the mid 80 degree range, certainly not like A/C, but far more tolerable. I thank you for your speed and quality of distribution. I received my ICESTER AC12 (Ice water Model) this morning. I installed it in my (VW) Golf to test this strange object… I did not put the quantity of ice (approximately 8kgs) necessary to the correct operation but just some refills for a short test. One of the differences between an Auto Air Conditioner and an Evaporative Cooler are the methods used to produce cool air. Evaporative Cooling has cool air that feels like an ocean breeze. An Auto Air Conditioner has dry cool air like you feel in an aircraft cabin. People in dry climates generally prefer the feel of Evaporative Cooling and those in humid areas generally must choose Auto Air Conditioners.

Portable Auto Air Conditioners or Evaporative Cooling is preferred if installing an after market Auto Air Conditioner is not possible. Also if repairing an factory installed Auto Air Conditioner is not possible, then you may consider an Alternative. Portable Cooling Alternatives can be moved from vehicle to vehicle and will provide relief for one or two people while providing less strain on the engine and, of course, your money.
