Which is the best 12-volt Portable unit to Choose?
A Swampy or MightyKool Standard Evaporative Cooler is generally the choice when economical cooling is needed hour after hour in dryer climates. The Swampy "Ice" Models IM20 & IM30 plus the MightyKool "Ice" Models M200 & M300 are quite often the choice in areas where the climate is humid most of the time, however may also be dry at times.

The "Ice" Models are always the choice in typically humid areas or where it is important to keep the doors and windows closed. The AC12 will not cool once the ice melts, however all other "Ice" Models cool by evaporation once the ice melts, evaporative cooling not very effective during times of high humidity. The MightyKool M200 & M300 work better in high humidity using water only than any of the Swampy "Ice" Models.

What are the Dimensions, Amperage Draw and Water Capacity?

One gallon (3.75 liters) will last around three hours in the daytime and seven to eight hours during the night time in our small portable evaporative coolers. Use any clean domestic or lake Water.

A good deep-cycle battery (105 amp hour or larger) lasts from 8 to 17 hours on low and medium without charging when using all models except the MightyKool Series.

The MightyKool Model MW1 will last from 50 to 80 hours and the MightyKool Models M200 & M300 will last from 25 to 35 hours on a fully charged 105 amp hour Deep Cycle Battery.
